Leukaemia Foundation Names Ajilon 'Top 30 Supporter' in 2007 World's Greatest Shave

The Leukaemia Foundation named Ajilon as one of its national Top 30 supporters, as part of this year’s World’s Greatest Shave fundraiser.

In an impressive result, Ajilon ranked sixth place in WA in partnership with key client, CBH Group.

The announcement came two months after the national event was held on the 15th, 16th and 17th March.

Ajilon staff, family, friends and a number of client supporters staged their event at the Pacific International Hotel Suites, who kindly donated the venue for free.

More than 110 people attended on the day, with the 65 participants collectively raising more than $30,000 for the Foundation.

The high Ajilon staff, family and friends turn out was a show of support for fellow Perth colleague Suzanna, who was diagnosed with Leukaemia last year.

Suzanna, who is undergoing treatment, said how moved she was by the show of love and support from her many co-workers during her treatment and in this year’s Greatest Shave event.

“I’m really so very proud of everyone for this,” she said.  “Even Ian shaved his head!”

“We came in sixth place behind some huge contributors and a smorgasbord of mining companies, so I was extremely proud!”

The money raised each year at the World’s Greatest Shave goes toward support and care for patients, like Suzanna, and families of those living with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood-related disorders.  The Leukaemia Foundation also funds vital research into better treatments and cures.
