Ajilon WA 'Makes Its Mark' at Launch Party
Clients and staff of Ajilon’s recently-acquired Perth operation celebrated WA’s official rebrand from AeM Group to Ajilon, among some of the State’s finest artworks last Thursday evening.
In a play on giving guests the big picture on the rebrand to Ajilon, the Perth team chose the The Art Gallery of WA as the venue for their brand launch cocktail party.
The 240-strong crowd, who walked into the venue on a red carpet, mingled under a veil of ‘city-scape’ lighting while a three-piece band played Flamenco and Afro/Latin-inspired music.
Red and white-themed rasberry martinis and coconut daiquiris – created in the brand colours of Ajilon – flowed all night, while caterers and an oyster shucker were kept busy serving guests a variety of mouth-watering canapés and seafood.
In keeping with the aptly titled theme of the night, ‘We’re Making Our Mark,’ guests were invited to pick up a paintbrush and let their creative sides run free on a mural activity the organisers had set up.
Performance artists entertained the crowd over the course of the two-hour party, adding to the carnivale, theatrical vibe. The highlight was the mesmerising performance by an aerialist, who wowed the crowd as she slid down an eight metre-long red silk suspended from the roof, Cirque du Soleil-style.
WA’s General Manager Chris Benthien, who delivered a short speech mid-way through the night, said the event was a resounding success.
“The compliments have been coming through thick and fast since last Thursday’s event!,” he said.
“It was truly a fantastic night, made even more special by the fact we were able to bring both our clients and our staff together under one roof to celebrate Ajilon’s christening in WA.
“Our WA clients and staff have been a large part of our journey and success, so it was great to be able to personally acknowledge them and say thank you.”
The event officially ended at 8.30pm, but the night didn’t stop there. Clients and staff were invited to take advantage of a low-key after-party Ajilon organised, at a nearby wine bar in Northbridge.
