Ajilon Picks up Media Coverage on $32.9m WA Govt Contract Win

The Australian Financial Review ran a story in its IT section today profiling Ajilon’s recent $32.9 million contract win with Western Australia’s Department of the Attorney General.

The Department’s Director General, Cheryl Gwilliam, said Ajilon will deliver major IT applications development and support for the next three years, with two one-year extension options.

“This contract, worth up to $32.9 million over the potential five year term, is a significant investment and ensures the Department will continue to have reliable and efficient business systems,” said Ms Gwilliam.

“Ajilon was chosen as the contractor after a comprehensive evaluation process, facilitated by the Department of Treasury and Finance in collaboration with the Department of the Attorney General, followed by successful negotiations, which we began in February.”

Ajilon’s WA General Manager, Chris Benthien, said Ajilon’s commitment to provide effective outsourced IT services had been rewarded as a result of securing the Department of the Attorney General deal.

“Ajilon’s capability in supporting, developing and extending critical business systems remains our strategic position in the Australian marketplace and the Department has selected us based on our reputation and experience in this field,” said Mr Benthien.

“We’re thrilled to have won this work and we look forward to developing a long-term partnership with the Department.”

The Department of the Attorney General administers the State’s courts and tribunals system, registers births, deaths and marriages,  and provides IT support to agencies which include the Public Advocate, Public Trustee and Prisoner Review Board. It also provides IT services to the Department of Corrective Services.
