Navigating industry reform

Ajilon was commissioned as one of the key consulting firms for the reform of the WA energy sector. With Ajilon’s assistance three specialist companies were established for energy transmission and distribution, generation and retail respectively. A fourth entity was also established to service the Pilbara and regional WA.

Ajilon’s project objectives were successfully delivered, including:

• Re-branding – creation and launch of the acclaimed retail energy company brand (Synergy)

• Business Intelligence – data separation and migration from Western Power’s data warehouse

• Planning and implementation of websites and intranet for each new entity

• Customer Services – Contact Centre and billing systems enhancements and business process redesign

• Compliance – Business process redesign and new compliance reporting for market reform-driven changes in interactions between entities in the energy value chain

• Establishment of Legal, Risk, Corporate Governance, Organisational and Employee Services for Synergy.
