The PRINCE2® Practitioner Course provides delegates with a deep understanding of this project management methodology, resulting in a firm basis for its application in their organisation. On successful completion of this course, delegates should be able to apply their knowledge of the PRINCE2® methodology to practical situations. It leads to the PRINCE2® Practitioner level exam and certification.
The course is aimed at current or aspiring project management professionals who need to master this methodology and use it on their projects, while also acquiring a globally recognised certification. The course is also ideal for anyone hoping to become a PRINCE2® Trainer or consultant.
Requirements: Most candidates would have had some experience in managing projects. The first 3 days are the same as the Foundation course and a pass in the Foundation exam is a pre-requisite for sitting the Practitioner exam.
Exam: PRINCE2® 2009 Practitioner Exam is a 2.5 hour, open book, multiple choice exam. There are nine questions worth 12 marks, adding to a total of 108 marks. Delegates need to secure at least 59 marks out of 108 (55%) to pass the examination.
Certification: APMG Practitioner certificate in PRINCE2®
The PRINCE2® Foundation Course provides delegates with a good understanding of this project management methodology and a firm basis for its application in their organisation. It leads to the PRINCE2® Foundation level certification.
The course is aimed at people working in projects who require an understanding of formal project management methods and an effective way of delivering projects. This would include people working on project teams, people initiating projects, business representatives, team leaders, senior management and those aspiring to move into a project management role.
Requirements: Candidates should have some project management experience or exposure to projects through a support role.
Exam: PRINCE2® 2009 Foundation Exam is a one hour closed book, multiple choice exam. There are 75 questions in all, including five trial questions that are not counted in the overall score. The maximum score achievable is 70. To pass the examination, delegates must achieve a minimum total mark of 50 per cent, which is a score of at least 35 marks out of 70.
Certification: APMG Foundation certificate in PRINCE2®
