Client profile
One of Western Australia’s leading health and general insurers, our client provides a range of financial, insurance, and membership products. The key business need was to develop an IT strategy and a central client management system that supported the organisation’s diversification strategy and enabled it to cross sell to its large database of clients and members.
The challenge
Our aim was to build a system that was client focused and not policy focused. Ideally, it needed to consolidate any available information about a member into one form, so users of the system could identify any cross sell opportunities.
The Ajilon approach
The Ajilon team worked closely with the client to understand how the business needed to most effectively support the diversification strategy. We recommended:
- Moving away from several different systems into one integrated platform to change the way users accessed information
- Establishing new system architecture, so that users of the system could clearly identify the gaps and maximise opportunity
How did Ajilon help to maximise opportunity?
We assisted the client to establish a clear IT strategy and designed new system architecture that would respond to their needs. We then planned a transition of information from the old mainframe system onto the new platform. Subsequently, we established new product systems that linked to a central client management system – this held all member information and could easily be accessed by the organisation’s staff. This was then enhanced by the sales and support tools to meet the client’s aims.
Key expertise provided by Ajilon:

Delivering the business benefits – partnering with Ajilon was the right choice
The Ajilon team delivered a more agile and responsive technology platform, by providing a 360 degree view of each member. The organisation was now able to clearly identify product needs and consequently was able to formulate campaigns to drive cross sell opportunities. Increased functionality, ease of use also brought about increased business efficiencies.
