Client profile
Our client, a state government organisation, wanted to improve the delivery of its frontline services as part of its Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) Strategic Plan. It also sought to minimise costs by standardising technology and systems across government. In this particular project, it looked to communicate internally about the ICT strategy and its benefits.
The challenge
One of the key challenges was promoting the awareness of new technology, including the ‘why’, ‘how’ and the benefits. The Ajilon team’s flexibility and range of expertise would prove to be vital.
The Ajilon approach – how did we promote the ICT platform?
The critical issue was the effective distribution of technical information in a way that could be understood by the stakeholders and users.
In response to our client’s main aim of effective communication, our team worked closely with the organisation’s staff to coordinate a conference.
We co-authored business and technical documents which provided attendees information about the new technology. We also presented papers and coordinated workshops.
In addition, we recommended seeking feedback so that our client could ensure ‘buyin’ from the users of the new ICT platform.
The feedback from the conference was positive and attendees indicated they were able to understand the aims and benefits of the new technology, as well as how to use it to maximise outcomes.
Delivering the business benefits – partnering with Ajilon was the right choice
The Ajilon team worked in close partnership with the organisation to focus on getting the message right, so that staff and stakeholders could gain a full understanding of the ICT strategy and support its implementation, usage and effectiveness.
