When a national telecommunications provider strategically brought network development and construction back in-house, Ajilon worked alongside the team as Program Director and subsequently provided additional services including change management, project management, business analysis, training and documentation.
The challenging reintegration program involved four major components including a 3500-user LAN WAN desktop infrastructure, the decommissioning of a customised SAP application as well as some 20 bespoke and proprietary applications and a new time recording system.
Three previous delivery dates had been compromised, so Ajilon's Program Director began by reviewing and qualifying the program plan to determine an achievable deadline. Ajilon concurrently addressed reporting and organisational issues and remediated the project plan. To relieve the team of unnecessary administration tasks, a dedicated Project Office was immediately established for the program ensuring clear reporting, proper resourcing, and streamlined processes and procedures.
With a clear direction and an accurate picture of the program status and workload ahead, Ajilon then led the team to deliver by the revised deadline, coming in under budget by $8 million. |
